Laboratory Manager

The Medicines Evaluation Unit (MEU) is a leading clinical research organisation dedicated to advancing medical science through high quality clinical trials.  Our mission is to provide comprehensive and accurate data to support the development of innovative medicines and improving patient outcomes worldwide.  We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Laboratory Manager, for our Clinical Trials Sample Handling Laboratory, who will play a pivotal role in the expansion of our lab facilities.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Scientist, in this full-time position, you will oversee the Clinical Trials Sample Handling Laboratory and manage a team of skilled laboratory staff.  You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate handling, processing, and storage of clinical trial samples, adhering to regulatory standards and best practices.  Your leadership will be crucial in driving the expansion and enhancement of our laboratory facilities, ensuring we continue to met the growing demands of our research activities.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate would have minimum of 3 years’ of laboratory experience, preferably in a clinical trials or research setting, with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline ie biology, chemistry, medical technology.  This role would suit someone with strong leadership skills and team management abilities, who has excellent organisational and project management skills.  Must be proficient in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and other relevant software.
