The Medicines Evaluation Unit (MEU) is one of the UK’s leading contract research organisations conducting clinical trials and scientific research with some of the most distinguished pharma companies in the UK and internationally. Our scientific research into asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is led by Professor Dave Singh, Head of the Airway Pharmacology Group, University of Manchester.
We are looking for a Research Technician who will be responsible for performing physiological measurements (e.g. Spirometry and advanced lung function tests, bronchial challenges) and procedures with patient volunteers and for the processing of samples taken during clinical research.
The post-holder must have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work to tight deadlines and be a strong team player.
Previous clinical and laboratory experience is advantageous but is not essential as full training will be provided.
Applicants must have a good Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in a life science or related discipline e.g. Sports Science, Biomedical Science, Physiology, Biology.
